The Kinal Foundation has financed the construction of a 3 kilometer long and 10 meter wide road for the benefit of the inhabitants of the village of Trapeang Sdao, in the province of Kampot. Built with the support of the authorities and the local population by Confirel’s technical team for a budget of $40,000, this infrastructure will open up the village, whose access was extremely difficult, especially during the rainy season.
The residents are delighted with this work which will facilitate the transport of their goods to the surrounding markets and simplify their daily lives. “If someone is sick, we will be able to take them to the health center easily. And then the children will be able to go to school without difficulty”, said a villager who came to participate in the project.
The Kinal Foundation, thanks to the support of PPM Laboratories and Confirel, wants to encourage solidarity among Khmers, especially to help people living in remote rural areas.
In 2017, the Kinal Foundation, along with other sponsors, had financed the construction and equipment by the NGO Sipar of 4 classrooms and a library in the elementary school of Sré Pring located in the same village.
